after I got better, I went through the letters I got and found one that had nothing but $20 and a note describing one of my posters. It looked like someone made a mistake and accidentally gave me their money without getting a poster. I know I've been kinda quiet recently. Lenovo says they've already shipped my new laptop, which had an estimated ship-date of the 11th, so ... uh, wow! I should have it shortly. Yay! 
I've been pleasantly surprised... kind of stunned, actually, that readership on Woohooligan has stayed pretty strong despite my absence!
Yeah, there was a bit of a drop-off because I haven't been able to update, but then the past couple days there was a sudden, unexpected spike and yesterday in particular was a traffic record! I hit 14,999 view on the official comic site for the day. Just one view shy of 15k. 
It's even put Woohooligan back in the top 100 on Top Web Comics this month, which I totally didn't expect, and WOW! And on looking at the stats apparently most of it was from Facebook, but I also got a lot of unexpected traffic from Ink Outbreak over the past 2 days. Speaking of facebook, go like our facebook page, because it's like totally likeable! [link] In the past week I've managed to get an awful lot of work done on that webcomic hosting site that I'd been talking about setting up for a long time but hadn't gotten around to doing any real work on. Woohoo!
It's still not ready for anyone else to look at it yet, but there's been huge progress and it should be available relatively soon. Keep your eyes peeled! 
I'm still planning to do the Valentines Day Sex Drive [link] -- I haven't started working on my comics for it yet -- I'll need to borrow my daughter Alex's tablet and get started on that tomorrow, since I've only got 10 days left.
We're going to have another DevMeet in the Dallas area here shortly. I posted a poll and I agreed to host it, since I'm officially still the local liaison for the TexasDevmeet group. We may have to move out of state in the coming year, at which point I'll probably hand over the Dallas group and the liaison job to someone else, but we'll cross that bridge when it happens.
In more personal news, Calli is excited about her freshman year of high-school coming up. We just got back from her orientation at Arlington high. And last week we found a stray kitten in the neighborhood and took her to the vet. Unfortunately it turned out that she had severe liver and kidney damage and probably FIP and we had to put her down.
But she got to come in from the cold, got some tuna and some chicken and she purred for a little while, so the good news is that for a little while she was happy. And then we had to scrub down everything she'd come in contact with just in case to prevent our cats possibly being infected. I'll be back with more comics soon!
