Yay for a story with a moral! And the moral of the story is, don't let ninjas on your balcony... wait... that's not it... hmm... that's what you get for falling in love -- she fakes her death, then you die, then she dies, then everybody's dead... wait... hmm... well there's a moral in here somewhere.
If you're still scratching your head, this is the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet.
Cake Is Lie = "that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet".
This comic has romance, pirates, ninjas and Juliet getting kicked in her face. What's not to like about it? It tells a funny story and sums up so much of the Internet in only three panels. The characters are lovely drawn and I especially like the expressions.
What could be improved is the copy-pasting. It's ok for the bush and the house, because they stay the same and don't move. But I think it's a pity that you only changed the pirate's face between the second and the third panel. I know that it's easier this way but in my opinion the comic would gain much quality if you made some minor adjustments to the pirate in the last panel.
But all in all it's a great deviation, I think everyone can agree with the moral and the comic surely motivates us to live up to it in our lives.
