Woohoo! I won 1st place in the :iconrandomlydevious: Easter competition! :iconlawooplz:

Go check out the other winners! [link]

I'm gonna use the prize points to help out some of my friends here on DA, like =AnimeVSReality who needs more confidence in her work. :D

p.s. Yes that's a reference to the movie Dogma in the upper right corner. [link] ;P

Yeah, I love Smith. Haven't seen Jersey Girl and not really interested -- not like I think it's gonna be a bad movie, like a lot of folks seemed to think, it's just not a subject matter I have any interest in... So I can't really hate on Smith for it like a lot of his fans apparently did. I will say though that I think Smiths movies are better when I feel like he's really got something to say, like I felt like he did with the first Clerks, Chasing Amy and Dogma. The rest were fun, but not as memorable for me.

Not seen Jersey Girl myself but need to. I understand what you mean, having a stronger message gives the film more of a purpose than just being entertaining. However saying that I do like CLerks II :)

You just keep gaining more and more respect points with every message you leave in my inbox, seriously slow down I don't have many left to give haha :p

Yeah, I originally was thinking that he would have a black eye and a blood trail out of the side of his mouth, but then I decided to draw something different half-way through creating the strip. ;P Maybe I'll go back and redo it later.

I was thinking the same thing about a Jesus Approved shirt, but then I'm not sure I want people to get the wrong impression. I mean... it's a parody, I'd hate to see churchy people wearing it as a statement of faith. ;P

The script is stereotypical of the kind of language you find in mobster movies during scenes in which the mobsters are putting the squeeze on a new merchant in the area where they're running a "protection racket" (also known as extortion). [link] So the guy comes into a new town, sets up a shop and then shortly afterward, these guys in expensive Italian suits come into his shop and start making these comments about, "hey, it's a nice place you got here, it'd be a damned shame if somethin' bad happened to it", implying that it's likely that someone might bust up the store. Then they offer to help keep the store safe (from themselves), in exchange for a gratuity (the extortion fee). If the store owner doesn't offer to pay the gratuity, they bust up the shop and/or the owner until he agrees to pay.

In this case the Easter Bunny and his helpers have just moved into "little Sicily" and these mobster bunnies decide they want some of that colored-egg action. ;P So they're running their protection racket and extorting the Easter bunny for the eggs. And the "buddy Christ" in the upper right corner approves because the Italian Mafia is traditionally catholic and they go to confession where they're absolved of their sins.

The Bunny Mafia! I love that idea. I almost thought of "Goodfellas" and "the Godfather" when I saw the Don Bunny and his goombah Bunny.

I loved this comic strip, it gave me a good laugh, since I enjoy movies with the Italian Mafia and the Chinese Triads (only though Rush Hour I, II, and III...).
