To make the world a better place?
That's my question for today. Is it something historical? Personal? Scientific? Something from the American Revolution? Or from your own country's history? Something more recent? Captain Sullivan landing his plane in the Hudson river and saving all his passengers and crew? The very near eradication of Polio the world-over? The very near eradication of hunger the world-over? (Yes, they've both had setbacks, but overall, we're still winning both of those fights.) Something fictional? Spider Man? (With great power comes great responsibility.) Star Trek? (To boldly go where no one has gone before.)
What's your thing? What drives you to do better and to give back to your community and to the world?
Personal Stuff I've been real busy this past week or so and haven't gotten much work done on the webcomic hosting site. I did manage to publish another comic (a bit late). Also earlier in the week I sent Joel Watson a comic strip for his
fan-art contest for the 6 year anniversary of
Hijinks Ensue. I don't care if I win, I just had this idea for a guest comic for a while that I thought I probably would never make and just decided this was an opportunity and I would go ahead and send it in. I'm hoping he publishes the entries -- at least I'll know he got it, since he hasn't replied to my email yet.

That's always the worst for me, sending an email or note or whatever off to someone and worrying that they'll take it the wrong way. That's just the down-side of being autistic... yeah, it's something everybody deals with, we just have more of it. But it could be a lot worse! I may have trouble with social situations, but I need relatively few supports. I could have wound up non-verbal! So I'm happy to be me!
I finally got the van into the dodge dealer and luckily it still had a few hundred miles of warranty, so they "fixed" it for free, by which I mean they replaced 2 cylinders because the pressure was low and they said the guides were slightly worn and sent me on my way only to have the check engine light come back on the very next day. I'm guessing it's a computer problem, since there's a known recall involving flashing the engine ROMs, but noooo, a mere mortal couldn't possibly understand the inner workings of a DODGE! (wieners) But at least I didn't have to pay for it, even though I did have to leave it at the dealership overnight.
What inspires you?So anyway, back to the subject: what's your inspiration? Speak up! Don't be shy!
